Delete your Zappix account

Zappix is an app for tracking TV shows, films and manga. This page explains how to permanently delete your account and all the data attached to it.

From the app

Open Zappix and go to the Profile tab.
Scroll down to “Delete my account and my data”.
Confirm. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Without the app

If you have uninstalled Zappix or can no longer sign in, write to support@getzappix.net from your account’s email address, with “Account deletion” as the subject.

The request is handled within 30 days, in practice much faster. Sending from the account’s address is how we verify that the request really comes from you.

Deleting only part of your data

You don’t have to delete your account to erase data. From the app, at any time:

A title in your list — open its page and tap “In my list” to remove it.
An episode marked as watched — untick it: the row is genuinely deleted, not merely hidden.
A watched film — My list → Watched films → remove it.
A review or a rating — open the episode or the title concerned and delete your review.
A custom list — My list → Lists → delete it.
Manga progress — remove the title from your manga library.
Your notifications — turn them off in Profile: your device’s token is deleted.

Each deletion is immediate and permanent: no copy is kept. You can also write to support@getzappix.net to ask for a specific part of your data to be deleted.

What is deleted along with the account

Everything, and permanently. Deleting the account deletes all the data attached to it, with no archive kept and no grace period.

Your account and your email address
Your display name, your avatar and your public profile
Your list, your watched episodes, your watched films and your manga progress
Your custom lists and your favourites
Your ratings, your reviews and your episode moods
Your friends and your pending friend requests
Your notification tokens

What is kept

Nothing. No data is kept after deletion, neither in anonymised form nor for statistical purposes.

One technical caveat, in the interest of honesty: our host’s encrypted backups may contain a residual copy for the duration of their retention period. They are never consulted and are overwritten automatically by rotation.

Before you go

You can export your library before deleting: Profile → Import / Export → Export as JSON (or as CSV). The resulting file lets you import everything back if you ever return.
